The Virtual
Laboratory of Gas Turbines for Naval and Aircraft
Propulsion (VLab) is a software package created by the
Laboratory of
Thermal Turbomachines of National Technical University of Athens,
Hellenic Naval Academy and
Hellenic Air Force Academy, for educating
students and training different kind of personnel on
gas turbines. It offers all the necessary theory on gas turbine
principles and operation and incorporates the Turbine
Engine Advance Calculation and
Health assessment Educational Software
created by LTT/NTUA for an accurate prediction of engine operation for
both healthy and deteriorated situations.
A key factor of VLab is it's user friendly interface that is easily employable even form those students with little computer experience. The main screen of the package is presented in the following picture
